Week Three

Class 1

Brainstorming what styles and tone I am trying to create. Then what visual language elements I want to use to communicate these and how.
I want a very homemade and informal style. It needs to be homely and familiar, not commercial or formal. Then started realising I had a lot of work to start on.

Independent Study

I developed my Index much further to the point where they can be defined by each market and can represent the tone of the market (how busy it is in this case). Instead of perviously where any of the indexes could have been used for any market which I wasn't happy with.
I also experimented with using maps. Being in a market is very intense and you are getting lost with so many stalls everywhere and it feels so over whelming from my point of view. So I designed maps of each location area picking and choosing what information needed to be included. Then overlapped them and played around with the layout to get different imagery so that you get a very busy vibe.

My Icon is something I still want to work on a lot further and make objects in a lot more detail and a larger colour pallet and I have simplified them too much in an attempt to make them appear informal. My symbols at the time being are also just very simple circles and hexagons and shapes that are very modern at the time being but I want to look into it further and see what I can work on.

I also made some illustrations and put my visual cues together to for my first set of thumbnails that I can develop from.
